Dobri Stojanovic

Dobri Stojanovic was Born in Kalni (Vlasotince). He completed his studies at the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1969 and soon after his postgraduate studies in 1972.
As a Belgian Government scholar, he specialized in graphics at the I 'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de la Cambre in Brussels, 1973. In December 1986, he went to Madrid where he, as a scholarship holder of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, perfected painting at the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Madrid in 1987.
He was a professor at the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade, at the Department of Drawing and Painting. In addition to painting, drawing and graphics, Dobri deals with mosaics, tapestries and art theory.
From 1966 until today Dobri has participated in 279 group exhibitions and 36 solo exhibitions in the country and abroad. He has also won 20 awards for his works. In 2005 his name was entered in Encyclopedia Britannica. He lives and works in Belgrade.
